The Marisol Bracelet with MultiColor Artistic Wire

Every year at the Tucson Gem Show, Beadalon debuts new products, and this year was no exception! One of the new products is the NEW MultiColor Artistic Wire, and the beaders who visited our booth at the To Bead True Blue Show were as excited about it as we are!

The Wire is currently available in 6 colorways in 18, 20, and 22 gauge. I was super lucky to be able to demonstrate with the wire at the Beadalon Booth, and even luckier that my good Beady Friend, Marisol, stopped by the booth to show me one of her wire designs. I immediately wrangled her into showing us all how to make it using the new MultiColor Artistic Wire.

The Marisol Bracelet works up so quickly, and is easy to adapt to materials you have on hand. Check out the Facebook Live, and follow along with the written instructions below:

Materials:
22 Gauge MultiColor Artistic Wire
20 Gauge German Style Wire
appx. 50 8mm rondelle beads
Lobster Clasp
Jump Ring

Tools:
Nylon Jaw Pliers
Bail Making Pliers
Designer Flush Cutter
Flat Nose Pliers

Instructions:
  1. Cut 20 inches of 20 Gauge German Style Wire.
  2. Hold the Bail Making Pliers in the center of the 20 inches of wire make a loop around the larger side of the Pliers. Twist the two wire around twice.
  3. String up 25 beads on each wire (you can adjust this bead count more or less depending on the size of your wrist). Bend up the ends of the wire to hold the beads in place.
  4. Measure about an inch above the beads and bend one wire down at a 90 degree angle and wrap it around the other wire.
  5. Create a wrapped loop with the long wire.
  6. Trim the ends.
  7. Work from the spool and wrap the 22 Gauge MultiColor Artistic Wire around 5 or 6 times under the loop on one side of the bracelet to secure it.
  8. Push one bead up to the top of one of the wires.
  9. Wrap the MultiColor Artistic Wire around the back up and around the bead.
  10. Push one bead up from each of the wires and wrap the MultiColor Artistic Wire around the back and around to capture both beads.
  11. Repeat step 10 to lock all of the beads in place.
  12. When you reach the other end, you'll have one bead left. Wrap around the one bead, and up around the wire to the loop, and back down again.
  13. Wrap down around that single bead, then continue to criss-cross back down the bracelet in between each of the beads.
  14. When you get to the other end, wrap around a few more times, and trim your ends.
  15. Use a jump ring to add a lobster clasp on the smaller loop.
I may or may not have made no less than 6 more of these bracelets before leaving Tucson! I experimented with different combinations of wire colors, and my next try will be  changing the sizes of the rondelles. I also really like how a home made Z clasp using the Artistic Wire Findings Forms looks.

I hope you like this design as much as I do! If you make a Marisol Bracelet, be sure to post in the Jewelry Making with Beadalon Facebook Group and set your reminders to join us Live on Facebook most every Thursday at 2:00 EST.

Until next time....Happy Beading!
Meredith
