Last weekend, I taught classes at Bead Fest Portland and promoted my new book, Katie’s Beading Secrets. This book is packed with over 100 projects, including necklaces, earrings and bracelets, all created with readily available beads and findings.
Necklaces are shown with the clasps so you know exactly how to recreate the piece; necklaces are also shown with alternates done in different bead combinations to get your creativity going! You’ll learn the basics of beading, plus the most versatile beading techniques. Full-color, with step-by-step instructions—and tips on every page!
Leave a comment on this post for a chance to win a free, signed copy of the book! Include your email address so we can contact you if you win. We’ll collect comments for one week, then we’ll hold a random drawing.

Oh, this new book sounds fabulous! I'm going to order your Hip To Bead book and this one sounds like another I'd love to have...
ReplyDeleteWow! Another book, how do you do it? I want to say thanks for all that I have learned from your books so far and for all that I am sure to learn from the new book and any that follow. Your books have been with me since the day I started beading. "Beading 101" published by Hot Off the Press was the first beading book I ever purchased and I still look at it from time to time for inspiration or a refresher.
ReplyDeleteThanks again,
Shelly

ReplyDeleteHi Katie:
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed that you took the time a few weeks ago to e mail me back when I asked about beading retreats and you told me about BeadFest and the Bead Cruise!!! Taking the time to talk to me was just wonderful. I enjoy making jewelry as it's a wonderful way to relax and express my inner personality that comes out in my pieces. Thanks ago. Lisa from Ephrata Pa. My email is croppping@ptd.net

The book sounds fantastic! Can't wait till it's out. I would love to get beading again! I've seen some Swarovski rings in a shop here in Spain, and they look beautiful! I would love to try to make some but they look so difficult!
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to find any resources, tutorials or designs about them in English, only in Spanish! I can understand Spanish mostly, but would prefer the information in English.
Do you know any websites that offer this information? I did a Google search and found nothing relevant.
I would love to win one of your books! Your designs are always my favourites. I have seen many of them before in books and magazines and always wished I could make them too, and be as good as you are at jewellery making!
Best wishes,
Bella (arabella_parker@hotmail.com)

I would love to win a copy of this book! My daughters are now grown and left behind quite a volume of beads from their younger years. It would be great to put them to use in a more artistic fashion than the basic stringing they used to do.
