I was so excited to welcome Marly Bird and Katelyn Moll to the Beadalon Studios for Facebook Live! For those who don't know, Marly is an avid crocheter and knitter, podcast host as well as the National Spokesperson for Red Heart Yarns. Katelyn is the gal behind the gal - tirelessly working behind the scenes for both Marly and Candie Cooper. The hardest working woman in beading? Maybe so.
What a testament to the amazing crafting community that we all belong to! Katelyn reached out to me a few weeks back to see if we could work together on a project for Marly Bird's blog. She and Marly were starting her annual Crochet A-Long, and were looking for ways to embellish the project. Katelyn suggested using the Beadalon Deluxe Jig to make shawl pins. Of course I loved the idea! I invited her to come do a Facebook Live in the office, and the rest is history!
Katelyn came up with an easy-to-make, gorgeous design (my favorite kind!) that uses the Beadalon Deluxe Jig. In the video, Marly used the Beginner Jig and I used the Really Big Jig. Each of these jigs will make a slightly different pin if you use Katelyn's instructions.

Happy Beading!
